About the role
Are you fascinated by how breakthroughs like Agentic AI are reshaping Business Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Enterprise Architecture? If you want to work at the frontier where these fields converge, and help define what comes next, you've landed in the right spot.
You'll join a vibrant research team at the Institute of Information Systems and Digital Business (IWI-HSG), working alongside thought leaders and partner organizations across industry, insurance, and banking.
 
What you'll do
  • Dive deep into one of today's most consequential questions: how Agentic AI is transforming organizations and the Enterprise Architectures of the future
  • Contribute directly to project work that bridges research and practice, from strategy to technical implementation, from rigorous research to hands-on consulting
  • Help translate cutting-edge insights into innovative teaching that shapes the next generation of HSG students
  • Co-create workshops, seminars, and conferences that connect you with leading experts and decision-makers in the field
  • Build a network across academia, educational consortia, and major organizations.

Your profile

What you bring
  • Studies in Business Administration, Management, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Mathematics, or a related field
  •  Genuine curiosity about research in one or more of the topics above, from Agentic AI to Digital Transformation and Enterprise Architecture
  •  Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
  •  Quick to grasp complex topics, highly motivated, and a strong team player
  •  An independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working
  •  Confident with MS Office; comfort with AI tools is a bonus.
The Institute of Information Systems (IWI-HSG) has been conducting application and design-oriented research at the interface between business and IT for more than 30 years. The team at the chair of Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister strives to be a leading research institution that produces knowledge for the design of high-quality innovations in interdisciplinary collaboration with other research institutions and practice partners.
