Paid Research Assistant positions in Communication- and Interaction-based Systems (m/w/d)

70% (unlimited, start by mutual agreement,)

Your tasks

In this position, you will focus on designing methodologies and implementing systems that allow smart devices in networked systems to automatically interact with each other, and permit users to monitor, cooperate, and collaborate with such distributed environments in their homes, on the road, and in industrial settings without prior training. In this context, the position will give you the opportunity to work toward a PhD in Computer Science.

Your profile


  • A university-level Master's degree in Computer Science or a related subject
  • Confidence and independence in designing and implementing complex systems (industry experience is a plus)
  • Experience with robotic systems as well as Augmented and Mixed Reality technologies
  • A rising track record in peer-reviewed research in the respective topic area is a plus
  • Experience in supervising student projects and teaching university-level courses is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • An international mindset paired with a high ambition to excel in research, teaching, and academic service
