Postdoctoral Researcher in Management, with a focus on Digital Platforms (m/w/d)
Your tasks
The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Tim Meyer and will be part of the SNSF-funded research project “Decentralization and Platform Governance”. The objective of the project is to investigate how decentralization shapes decision-making and governance design in digital platforms. The selected candidate will thus explore research projects in the area(s) of digital technologies, platforms and ecosystems, blockchain technology and/or organization design. We offer close collaboration and strong support in pushing research projects forward and developing a solid research pipeline. The postdoctoral researcher will also have time to pursue independent projects. We encourage the development of ambitious research ideas and appreciate an active role in collaborating with faculty and PhD students at the institute.
The position requires strong expertise at the intersection of strategy and digital technologies, ideally with a focus on digital platforms. Applicants should also have solid data and methodological skills. The candidate is expected to independently identify, collect, and analyze relevant data.
Your profile
- Applicants should have completed, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Management, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise and strong research interest in strategy, digital technologies, platforms and ecosystems, blockchain technology and/or organization design
- Excellent academic record and strong work ethic
- Strong enthusiasm for research: the ideal candidate will view this position as a stepping stone towards pursuing an academic career
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with prior experience using quantitative/econometric methods and large datasets
- High degree of initiative, independence, and strong organizational skills
