Your tasks

  • You work on your dissertation thesis in the area of Internal Auditing
  • Your main focus is empirical fundamental research of phenomena related to internal and external auditing
  • You support the teaching activities of Prof. Dr. Florian Eugster in areas of Internal Auditing, Accounting and Financial Statement and Corporate Valuation at the Bachelor and Master level as well as in Executive Education including the CAS in Internal Auditing

 

Your profile

  • Keen interest in learning how to work scientifically as a foundation for an academic or professional career
  • Excellent marks in your master's studies in business, finance, or related fields
  • Excellent understanding of auditing and financial reporting, financial analysis, and valuation
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office; competent use of statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, or Python) will be expected throughout the program
  • Strong English skills are a must; German is a plus
The competence center is primarily active in Auditing and Accounting research. Our core competencies are teaching, research, and executive education. The tasks of the position include, but are not limited to, participation in the management of the PhD Programme in Management (PMA), teaching assistance in the English and German track of the Master of Accounting and Finance (MAccFin) program, and at the Bachelor's level.
