Job Summary
 
The Project Lead Sustainability in Academia is responsible for maintaining and scaling-up the Sustainability in Academia platform. This role includes managing operations, driving website growth, strengthening our digital community, positioning the initiative in Responsible Management Education spaces, and acquiring funding by formulating value propositions for corporate partners and sponsors. The successful candidate plays a critical role in ensuring the platform's growth, engagement, and impact.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Website management and growth: further develop and drive the Sustainability in Academia digital platform strategy.
  • Community building and engagement: Streamline and develop incentives for sustained user engagement, turning visitors into contributors.
  • Marketing and communications: Create and manage communication materials across social media, newsletters, and email campaigns. You will prepare conference presentations, organise and host workshops.
  • Content strategy and SEO optimisation: Develop and execute a content plan that improves discoverability and relevance. Implement technical SEO enhancements and distribution strategies to increase reach and traffic.
  • Partnership-building and stakeholder management: Cultivate and manage relationships and ensure effective collaboration with institutional partners, funding partners, and stakeholders.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Proven skills in digital product management, growth marketing, and online community management.
  • Experienced in managing multichannel communications, including social media, newsletters, and email campaigns.
  • Confident in building and managing relationships with institutional partners, sponsors, and funding agencies.
  • Impact-driven (in the SDG sense), with a strong interest in Responsible Management Education.
  • Strong agency, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and a continuous learning mindset, with the capacity to prioritize effectively.
  • Bring a fresh, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
About the Initiative:
Sustainability in Academia is a collaborative initiative between the University of St. Gallen, WWF Switzerland, and the Network for Business Sustainability. It is a resource hub that aims to integrate sustainability into higher education curricula by offering a database of high-quality, curated materials and tools for teaching sustainability.
