PhD Position in Macroeconomics
Your tasks
- The core responsibility is to develop a PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Johannes Binswanger, typically through joint research projects. Students are expected to contribute their own ideas, and at least one single-authored paper will form part of the dissertation.
- The position may include limited teaching assistance for Prof. Johannes Binswanger.

Your profile
- You have a strong Master's degree in Economics (or a closely related field) with solid training in macroeconomic theory and empirical methods.
- You have a strong interest in macroeconomic questions; alignment with topics such as expectations, subjective models, narratives, or learning is an advantage.
- Prior exposure to research in economics is a plus. Some familiarity with machine-learning ideas is welcome but not required.
