Your tasks

Candidates for this position are expected to enroll in the PhD program in Finance/Management at the University of St.Gallen, with the doctoral supervisor being Prof. Dr. Hato Schmeiser.

The candidate should fulfill the following qualifications:
  • Outstanding master's degree in management, finance, mathematics or related fields from a university or a business school
  • Strong interest in risk management and insurance
  • Demonstrated suitability to work on analytical problems
  • First practical experience in a profession closely related to risk and insurance management
  • Previous research experience in an insurance-related environment is a definite plus

The Institute of Insurance Economics at the University of St.Gallen is seeking to hire a Research Associate (PhD Position). This position will be of particular interest to candidates aiming to pursue an academically-oriented PhD at the Chair for Risk Management and Insurance (see here for details).
